Wild poppies are blooming. There are a few growing on scraps of earth up against concrete walls that look especially striking, red against grey. Delicate, yet stubborn. Nicely, the gardeners have taken out the aesthetically unappealing weeds, but left the poppies intact.
Work plans have been made. Target is acquired. Next week I shall take aim.
Language-wise, things are pretty static wrt. High German but my understanding of Swiss German is suddenly taking massive leaps forward. My dodgy hearing still causes problems as when I don't hear something, people think I did hear it but didn't understand and then swap languages which is very frustrating. They think they are being helpful but really it makes me want to stab someone in the face.
I should probably not eat an entire 200g bag of dried figs.
